My name is Katie Low. After an initial career in academia in the UK, I ran away (though I often write about what light the ancient past might be able to shed on the modern world) to Belgium do an EU internship. I currently work in communications in Brussels.
I initially planned for this blog to focus on travel and transportation, and ways of communicating about them (one of my favourite things about living in Belgium is how closely connected it is to the rest of western Europe, and further afield; I also have strong views about how companies and institutions communicate). However, it now covers European politics and culture more broadly and – because our past is never far away – the possibility of linking ancient history and the modern world.
I tweet here.
